Nutrition labels are created with serving type recipes, not prep recipes.
An excellent example of this is in the sample database (logon to the SAMP unit). Look at Soup, minestrone prep and Soup, minestrone serving.
In your recipe, under the Nutrition tab, you may have an “Exception Listing”.
This means that the recipe unit for your item is not a weight. Weights are needed in order to correctly calculate USDA nutrients.
To edit or add a weight measurement in your Recipe Units double click on the ingredient listed in the Exception Listing.
The unit you enter must be a weight measurement.
