Advantage is a leading supplier of SQL databases, and is now a subsidiary of Sybase Incorporated. Advantage Database Server is a robust, high-performance and fully scalable database system that is the backbone for CostGuard and other leading business applications.

The Advantage Local Server (ALS) is included with CostGuard at no additional charge.

The Advantage Database Server (ADS) is a fully featured client/server version, and is available as an upgrade.

No update to CostGuard is required; it's a 'plug and play' upgrade.

ADS is REQUIRED if you want to access CostGuard data remotely with services like remote desktop, Citrix, terminal services, etc.

ADS is also beneficial if you have a very large network, very large data files, or very high network activity.
